If you're anything like me, the first thing you do in a new Forza title is head straight for the "Buy Cars" menu to see what's new. With Forza Horizon 6, the developers are keeping that momentum going with the Car Pass.
It's essentially a weekly delivery service for your garage. Instead of grinding for hours to afford the latest hypercar or niche JDM legend, the Car Pass drops them right into your lap.
What's Inside the Car Pass?
The deal is pretty straightforward: you get 30 new cars delivered to your game. Here's the breakdown of how it works:
- Weekly Drops: You won't get all 30 at once. Starting May 19, one new vehicle will be released every single week. It's a great way to keep the game feeling fresh months after launch.
- The "One-Time Freebie": Every car included in the Pass is added to your in-game garage for free (one-time only). This means you don't have to spend a single credit to own them. For those of us who prefer spending our credits on wild engine swaps and widebody kits, this is a massive win.
- Horizon Debuts: The Car Pass is usually where Turn 10 and Playground Games tuck away the "freshest" models—cars that are just hitting the real-world streets or making their first-ever appearance in a Horizon Festival.
How Do You Get It?
You don't necessarily have to buy the Car Pass as a standalone item (though you can). Most veteran players get it bundled with the higher-tier versions of the game. You can snag the Car Pass through:
- Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition: The "all-in" version. You get the game, the Car Pass, and usually the future expansions.
- Forza Horizon 6 Deluxe Edition: A middle-ground option that includes the base game and the full Car Pass.
- Forza Horizon 6 Premium Upgrade: This is perfect if you're playing via Game Pass. You can buy this upgrade separately to get all the Premium perks (including the Car Pass) without buying the full game.
Pro Gamer Tip
If you see a car in the Car Pass list that you absolutely love, make sure to "claim" it in the DLC menu as soon as it drops. Once it's in your garage, you can upgrade it, tune it, and take it online immediately. It's easily the most cost-effective way to ensure your collection stays top-tier without having to live in the Auction House.
