Diamond Quest is a single-player board-style mode in Diamond Dynasty. It combines card collecting with mini-game objectives, giving you a fun mix of strategy and action. Unlike Conquest, which is about territory control, Diamond Quest focuses on completing a single “run” to maximize rewards before cashing out.
1. The Core Loop: Move, Win, and Upgrade
- Dice Rolls: Move your piece across the board by rolling dice.
- Challenge Spaces: Landing on a space triggers either a Moment (like “Score 1 run in the 9th”) or a Showdown.
- Peanuts: Earn this run-specific currency by completing challenges. Spend it at the Coach's Cart for perks.
- Perks and Penalties:
- Perks: Boosts like larger PCI size, faster pitchers, or better defense for your games.
- Penalties: Negative effects from landing on tricky spaces or being caught by the Red Ball enemy.
- The Zone Sweeper: A moving hazard that can trap you. Avoid it, or you may face a tough punishment game.
2. Reward Mechanics
The main goal is to reach the Stadium Strongholds at the end of the board.
- Increasing Odds: Winning Moments or Showdowns raises your “Reward Percentage” for the Stadium games.
- Rare vs. Epic Rewards:
- Rare: Easier to get, smaller rewards.
- Epic: Bigger rewards but require more progress to increase your win odds.
- Difficulty Trade-off: Higher difficulty (Legend/Hall of Fame) gives higher rewards, but losing means losing your run.
3. Ending the Quest
At the Stadium, you choose:
- Collect Treasure and End: Take all packs, stubs, and players earned and exit the run.
- Continue the Quest: Push to the next Stadium for better rewards—but if you lose, you lose everything earned in that run.
4. Strategy Tips
- The Full Clear: Play the whole board on lower difficulties. Stack perks and get reward odds to 100% before hitting the Stadium.
- The Stadium Rush: High-skill players can head straight for the Stadiums for faster rewards, but must win without perks.
- Repeatability: Boards can be replayed, making it great for farming stubs and sellable cards.
- Seasonal Content: Watch for limited-time boards like Cityscapes Diamond Quest, which can give exclusive Diamond players.
